A year and a half ago God gave Ersa and I an assignment to come to Tallahassee and plant a church. God brought us here to lead a group of people into a deeper relationship with Him. We have been faithful to His calling, and the assignment that He called us to; and it has been a joy to see God develop His people.
Over the past several months Ersa and I have been faced with and have had to make some difficult decisions. A church like any organization or business requires finances to operate at a sustainable level, and the sustainability of Energize Church has been challenged. It has become very clear that after studying all the facts and seeking counsel from our spiritual leaders that February 10th was Energize Churches final service.
Even though February 10th was our last service we don’t view our time here as a failure. God sent us here with an assignment, and that assignment was defined in our mission statement. We exist to REACH the unchurched, to LEAD them into a growing relationship with Jesus, and to EQUIP them to fulfill their God called purpose. Over the last 11 months, we have reached the unchurch— 43 people made a decision to follow Jesus Christ. We have LEAD people into a growing relationship with Christ. As we have seen so many of you grow in your relationship with God, and we have seen people walk into their God called purpose.
We are thankful for the lives that were changed, and transformed. We are thankful for all who served alongside us to reach so many for the Kingdom of God. Thank you Tallahassee for allowing us to serve you.
